Job Description

The Electrical Designer - Street Lighting will:

- Provide support to the design and engineering effort associated with Roadway Lighting projects.

- Develop designs and layouts for roadway lighting; including performing all necessary calculations needed to verify design meets Users standards.

- Perform detailed takeoffs of designs to meet project requirements.

- Handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

Minimum Requirements

- Experience in MicroStation or AutoCAD

- Minimum of 2 year Associates Degree in an engineering related field; preferably electrical

- Proficient with Microsoft Office products including Outlook, Word, and Excel

- Be able to work independently under general supervision

- Possess and demonstrate creative problem solving skills

- Possess and maintain a valid Ohio Drivers License

- Provide assessments of facility conditions, review HVAC, plumbing and control system designs for smart buildings, review specifications, inspect and troubleshoot HVAC systems and controls, perform commissioning and provide mechanical design engineering

Minimum Requirements

- Minimum Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited university

- Professional Engineering (PE) License preferred

- 3-5 years of related experience which includes mechanical design for new buildings, restoration and renovation projects

- Experience coordinating MEP systems with architectural design and field experience providing construction administration services

- Experience in the design of HVAC systems, plumbing systems, fire protection systems, etc

- Strong verbal presentation and communication skills
