Senior Mechanical Engineer, Full time, Columbus, OH

Minimum Requirements

• Minimum Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering
• Minimum 10 years of construction/mechanical systems experience on large military projects or related industry experience
• Registered Professional Engineer (PE)
• Experience in the design of HVAC, plumbing and fire protection systems
• Proficient in the use of AutoCAD, BIM
• Must possess good organizational skills
• Effective communication skills

Job Description

The senior mechanical engineer will:

• Direct and lead the assigned project mechanical engineering staff
• Monitor engineering cost, product cost, and schedule of assigned jobs or projects
• Develop new ideas and concepts for improvement in engineering operations
• Provide assessments of facility conditions, review HVAC, plumbing and control system designs for smart buildings, review specifications, inspect and troubleshoot HVAC systems and controls, perform commissioning and provide mechanical design engineering
• Prepare daily, weekly, monthly project reports, organize and plan projects and develop cost estimates
• Handle multiple tasks simultaneously
